MMT. Sovereign currency-issuers don't need taxes. "Deficit" is and always has been a bugaboo. Creating currency with debt is dumb. Paying a trillion in "interest" for manufactured money is also dumb. It'll all wash away. Digits on screens.
Same here in the UK. I would add that in this election year, all politicians are offering tax-cuts and/or extra spending. In other words, bribing us with even more of our own money!
how about this, audit every member of congress and their staff and families, every member of the administration and their staff and their families. my guess is we could find a bunch of money there

America was nice while it lasted, but it's over. It's done. Really, the entire West is done.
